Police investigating report of ‘possible active shooter’ near Rochester airport

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — There is currently a large police presence on Scottsville Road in Rochester.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s office, police are investigating the report of a “possible active shooter.”

FBI appears to be involved in the investigation based on photos from the scene.

The investigation is taking place across from the airport and a portion of Scottsville Road is closed off while law enforcement investigates.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area at this time.
